Carolyn Madden is Australia’s first CDC Certified Divorce Coach having completed this specialised training from the US in 2013 and again in 2018 for currency of content and professional development.
She has appeared on Channel 9’s 'Mornings with Kerri-Anne' and more recently on Channel 9’s Today Show and been featured in Mamamia.com.au and interviewed by Brisbane’s leading breakfast radio station 97.3.
For over 15 years, drawing on her corporate experience and specialised divorce support training, Carolyn has been involved in supporting busy professionals juggling work and family, to help decrease their stress and increase their focus during the many unknowns and challenges of separation and divorce – ultimately saving them time and money.
As single mother, Carolyn has been through a divorce herself and understands firsthand how daunting and challenging it can be, particularly with very small children.
She has experienced how hard it is to raise children mostly on your own and seen the impact divorce has had on them. This practical insight gives her the compassion and unique ability and knowledge to guide parents, where possible, to seek ways they can co-parent their children versus being one of two single parents.
Carolyn coaches’ clients through all the stages of divorce providing tailored support, referrals to other divorce related professionals as required, along with coaching tools to empower them to approach the process from a position of strength and confidence.
She is a member of the International Coach Federation which sets high ethical and professional standards and requires adherence to their Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Carolyn is also governed by the Certified Divorce Coach Professional Standards. Both require stringent training along with continuing professional development requirements.
She uses evidence based concepts from neuroscience to embed coaching and learning and enjoys seeing separating couples successfully navigate divorce to develop an ongoing parenting relationship where all parties come out of it with lives intact ... particularly their children’s.
Carolyn is a natural people person and an experienced Human Resource practitioner who still provides training and coaching services to the Government and Corporate sectors, specialising in developing effective communication and conflict management skills.
She is also a trained Conflict Coach which is particularly useful when preparing for successful negotiations and recently attended an intensive training at Newcastle University Law School on Dealing with High Conflict Personalities.
These skills are incredibly valuable when preparing clients for Mediation or Collaborative Law Conferences.
